Maperton Church is approached along a narrow drive some 150 metres long, entered via a pair of black gates. The entrance to the drive is approximately 300 metres above the crossroads in the middle of Maperton village, and immediately above Maperton House which may be distinguished by its high surrounding wall. There is a glazed notice-board immediately adjacent to the entrance to the drive.
Parking at the church itself is restricted: if you park in the village, please remember that you are surrounded by working farms, and that sometimes large agricultural machinery needs to get past.
Walkers and cyclists, and those requiring refreshment
Maperton is 3 miles from The King's Arms at Charlton Horethorne, 4 miles from The Camelot at South Cadbury (next to Cadbury Castle), 3.5 miles from The Stag's Head at Yarlington and 5 miles from The Montague Inn at Shepton Montague: these distances assume that you are following metalled roads. At the time of writing, all these places serve food.
The Chapel Cross Tearooms , between North and South Cadbury and 4.5 miles from Maperton, are a popular stop for visitors to the church.
